Ode to a Water Stop
One day we went to Waco to help marathoners run.
We froze our little bottoms, but man, did we have fun!!
We first set up at 5 miles, the runners flew right by.
But then at 24 miles we thought that some might cry.
Lisa brought some candy, Mario had the flag.
Doug biked the route for recon and our spirits never lagged.
Heidi and Jolinda found the restrooms and Starbucks
while Ruth and Renee discussed their latest books.
We sang, we danced, we clapped, we cheered.
I think we should return next year!!!
